What’s the difference between waterproof and water resistant gloves?

In layman terms, the difference between water resistant and waterproof gloves is that one can withstand a drizzle, the other a downpour. Essentially, water resistant gloves will “resist” water penetration whereas waterproof gloves are impermeable to water (for a period of time). 

Water resistant gloves are a great choice for wild adventures that may encounter some moisture. Throw on waterproof gloves  for skiing, snowboarding, and snowball fights to combat the wet conditions you’ll find on the slopes.

What gloves are good for hiking?

When choosing gloves good for hiking, it’s all about the glove layers. Merino gloves are great for warmth however, they don’t cope with very wet and windy conditions. Pairing a merino glove with a softshell or windproof glove is a knockout combo for hiking adventures.
