How is recycled polyester made?

Making recycled polyester is a pretty simple process. Essentially old PET plastic is collected, cleaned, and then shredded into tiny bits. Then, those bits get melted down and spun into new fibres. Voilà – recycled polyester is born. It's a cool way to upcycle and uses less energy and water than traditional virgin polyester.

We use recycled fabrics across a number of our men’s collections. From snow jackets and ski gloves, to men’s hiking pants and fleece jackets. Recycled fabrics are a great alternative to virgin polyester, using up to 45% less energy during production, plus 20% reduction in water consumption and 30% less CO2 emissions.
