Giving Back

Your Jacket May Be Cold But For Us It's Shelter From The Cold.

There are an estimated 116,000 people across Australia classified as homeless and, it has been predicted that homelessness could surge even higher in our lucky country.

Our Heat the Homeless appeal was established to give you the opportunity to make Winter better by donating your pre-loved snow jackets to help warm those sleeping rough and, also prevent them contributing to landfill.

Once your generous donations are received, we work with charities around Australia such as GIVIT, Indigo Junction, Free on a Tree, and Humans in Melbourne to distribute the gear.

How it works.

Go through your unused jackets and gather what you no longer need. For Heat the Homeless we are needing warm, clean and preferably waterproof jackets. As a rule, if you wouldn’t wear it, please don’t give it Seriously, don't be that person!

Visit one of our participating Heat the Homeless retailers. You can find the full list in the box below.

Drop your jacket into the Heat the Homeless donation box found in-store. Your donated jackets will be counted, collected, and stored ready for a local charity pick-up and distribute.

Our partner charities directly hand-out jacket donations to all people experiencing homelessness, sleeping rough and needing warmth.

116,000 People are classified homeless. 20,000+ Jackets have been donated. 2015 marked the begging of Heat The Homess. 133 Retailers have hosted our donation boxes.

If you are a retailer who wishes to get involved in this campaign please contact us by email and we will supply you with our Heat The Homeless collection box and information posters.
