Wearing underwear under your thermals really comes down to personal preferences. However, if you’re comfortable going commando just keep in mind that without a barrier between your skin and thermals, it may mean increased moisture and odour. You can mitigate this by opting for Merino thermals which are anti-microbial, moisture-wicking and odour-resistant.

How tight should thermal underwear be?

Your thermal underwear should be snug, but not overly tight so that it restricts movements. Comfort is key. Since the purpose of thermals is to provide an extra layer of insulation, a snug fit will help trap your body heat to keep you warmer for longer.

How do I protect my wool products from moths, larvae and beetles?

To protect your wool products from moths and beetles, it's essential to keep them clean as pests are less attracted to laundered items. Store them in airtight containers or vacuum-sealed bags to prevent infestation. You can also spray your garments with lavender oil and/or use cedar hanger and cedar balls as a natural deterrent (forget old-school moth balls - they smell awful and are poisonous!) Regularly inspect your stored woollens and avoid leaving them on the floor to reduce the risk of carpet beetle damage.
